Yesterday was my birthday and although I'm not someone to make a big deal out of it, I'm lucky, because I have a great group of friends here on the island to do it for me.
Regina surprised me with homemade muffins complete with birthday candles first thing in the morning. They were yummy and much healthier than something I would usually eat -- lots of granola! -- all and all delicious. I spent my morning catching up with friends back home on skype, something I had been neglecting while studying for the Term 3 final last week.
Later, I went to the beach for five solid hours of sun. Perfect.
Top it all off with cake and Stag beer with friends. Is there anything better than cake and beer?
